Isle of Luing Home Bakers

The Isle of Luing Home Bakers are a group of voluntary home-bakers who provide cakes, traybakes, biscuits and sometimes tarts and desserts for the Atlantic Island Centre. They are a group of 14 women and 1 man who keep the cake cabinet full of a range of delicious fresh bakes.

One of the volunteer bakers is matriarch Jane MacLachlan, who has two daughters and two granddaughters who are also in the baking group. The MacLachlan family have been on Luing since the 1700s and many of the family still live here and on neighbouring Seil.
