Local Groups
The Luing Community Trust acts as an umbrella organisation for a number of sub-groups listed below:
Luing History Group
Aims: The aims of the group are to advance education in the heritage and history of the island of Luing and its adjacent, mainly uninhabited islands by collecting, conserving and interpreting objects, documents, pictures and other media.

Luing Adventure Playpark and the John McCowan Memorial Park Group
The group aims to promote outdoor activities for children up to the age of 16 years in a safe environment in the Adventure Playpark, and to promote outdoor activities for all members of the Community through the provision and maintenance of the John McCowan Memorial Park. Both facilities are in Cullipool, and are available for use by residents and visitors to the island. For more information contact Fiona Cruikshanks (01852 314375).
Luing First Responders
We now have a trained team of volunteers who are on call at certain times of the week to respond to medical emergencies and to provide assistance before the ambulance can get to Luing. Many thanks to all those volunteers. For more information contact Lasta King (01852 314252).
